My Kind Of Architecture

As I mentioned earlier, I do love architecture. But the kind of architecture that inspires me doesn’t have to beat some kind of world record. My kind of architecture speaks quietly through details, color, and complexity of the design. Here are a few of those that I can never look at long enough:

Mission Inn (Riverside, CA, USA)

Jamaica Wine House (Cornhill, London, UK)

Notre Dame de Paris (Paris, France)

Venice, Italy (from Destination of the Day)

Madinat al-Zahra, Salón rico, (Cordoba, Spain)

And this is not even close to showing all of the different types of architecture that I find awe-inspiring. Those artisans of old will always hold a special place in my heart, because that is what they used when creating these masterpieces. This is a skill that we need to cherish, while forwarding the training to another generation so that it will always exist. It would be a crime if we lost this passion.
