Passwords Are Now Funny

We’ve all been there. You go to a site, try to login like normal, only to find that they want you to change your password…again. For your safety. Except that you think that this is their way of getting back at you for writing that snide remark about last week’s opinion that accidently went viral in a not-so-good way for them.

But it’s ok because you have a new system to generate passwords that aren’t those impossible alpha-numeric-emoticon combined monstrosities that they require…for your safety. Your an adult, so how hard can it be (ignore that man weeping in the corner because he just realized that he ran out of configurations)?

Well, Chrisoph Niemann is not the man to help you generate that unbreakable password (that will be broken by your two-year old niece when you turn your back), but he is the man to make you see the humor in your situation. So take a look at his poke at login passwords (for NY Times):

I’ll bet you feel better now, right? No? Well, look on the bright side. At least it’s a virtual dog, so you don’t have to clean up the mess like you would if your own dog… Oh god, did your dog just throw up?
