Architectural Wonder In Cedros

Ok, I’m kicking myself that I didn’t have my camera with me. So this photo caught with my iPhone will have to do. I had no choice but to take this picture because these beams are incredibly amazing! Yeah, I know, I know. You go into a store to look at the goods. But how many times do we overlook all of the hard work that goes into the actual space design?

Unless you walk into a building like this…

This is the glorious shell that houses SoLo in the Cedros Design District. CDD is an amazing feast for the eyes when you walk into the many stores that illuminate design, art, and an all-around eclectic shopping experience. Nowadays, I don’t shop unless an item absolutely tells me that I need it. But the visual eye candy (and mental stimulus) is something that I search for every day, because it’s what drives my own creativity.

Can you blame me for just staring up into the rafters? Because these are some seriously gorgeous ones, if you ask me. And again, I apologize to SoLo’s owners for failing to pay attention to your beautiful wears. As you can tell, I was a bit pre-occupied. This is art at it’s finest!

And here’s the architect, Jennifer Luce:

p.s. Why not use today as a day to go out and look for some amazing creative talents? Every industry has them, and they’re just waiting to share their visions with you. Enough of us start to dream together, and who knows what kind of disruption we can accomplish in order to create a more inspiring world?
