** STOP CENSORSHIP! **
Our censorship fight with the US Congress is far from over, as they continue to attempt to break the Internet with legislations driven by crony capitalism in the US and abroad. Though SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) and PIPA (Protect IP Act) have been pulled back for now, more continue to follow them. Now, we have to contend with ACTA (more) and TPP (2), which are international attempts to censor and control the Internet for the sake of commerce. And if that's not enough, now there's CISPA (more).
Go to EFF.org to keep up with the legal news that impacts our world and its technology. The greed won't stop, so we have to stay vigilant as well. Especially now that lobbyists are admitting out loud that they expect to be rewarded for their "contributions": Read it on TorrentFreakThanks for visiting!

A Celebration of Individuality
(click on the image to view their gallery) Since I celebrate individuality in all of its forms, it would be remiss to not include this treat from NY Times.
Looking Past Actions
We hear of a crime or a fight, and immediately rush to take sides. “They did WHAT?!”, people will gasp in shock, “How dare they?!!” And so the quagmire begins. Again, we use those beliefs we’ve been taught about what’s … Continue reading
Beautiful Words
All you have to do is watch this clip to see that we can be truly beautiful. It’s all about how we choose our words. Words can hurt, and words can heal. We make the choice… Special note: Thank you … Continue reading
STS-135 Leaves For Home
There really isn’t much to say, except that these scenes are truly out of this world. It’s been a long rocky road, but NASA has accomplished an extraordinary feat that will be tough to follow. Thank you, space shuttles and … Continue reading
Cube Rat
I was going through Kickstarter to check out some new projects, when I came across this girl (well, woman) who has an amazing voice and a really quirky sense of humor. Her name is Dana McCoy, and she seems to … Continue reading
We’re More Than Labels
I really wanted to go back to my search for inspirations, but the world isn’t cooperating. “Liberal”, “Capitalist”, “Socialist”, “Traitor”… I really do have to stop reading the mainstream news because I’ve been … Continue reading
Ai Weiwei – The BBC Interview
Updated: 07/25/2011 – Ai WeiWei has now opened a Google+ account. Warning: This is really not easy to watch because it’s disturbing, but it can’t be ignored if you believe in freedom. I just read the tweet from Imaginary … Continue reading
If They Don’t Accept You, Then Build Your Own
Note: See an update to Anonymous that I just found today (7/19/11) After you read the story, read some of the comments. The authorities might think that what they’re doing is legal (arresting conspirators), but look at the reason listed … Continue reading
What’s Your Canvas?
Is there a list of acceptable mediums for creating art, or even forms of art? I didn’t believe there was, but I’m starting to think that not everyone got that memo. Looking at the pieces above, I’d have to say … Continue reading
Observe
I’m feeling thoughtful right now… I’ve been catching an important theme that’s pretty evident in many articles today about the importance of observation. I find this to be a skill that is so underutilized in our daily lives, yet vital … Continue reading
