Nicolas Sampson from Urban Times hasĀ unearthed another gem of a video. This time he offers for our viewing pleasureĀ Dan Pink, who is the creator for this thought stream full of cartoon characters showing what motivates people today. Dan is a business writer who is showing a working world that is already nothing like what Big Business is used to. This video is a delight to watch because of the imagination he uses with caricatures connecting through a process of how he sees the creative behaviors of people already changing. He gives an amazing presentation of the new work force that is already creating new opportunities outside of the corporate world, which he shows as needing to catch up with these changes.
Many experts out there, like Umair Haque, are advocating a eudaimonic (moral wisdom or highest human good) way of life where people are freely creating for the betterment of an entire society. There is no more obsession with tracking costs to monetize an effort to see if it is profitable for the business entity. Now, the people are taking the innovations out of the hands of those who seek to profit for their own sake, and transferring the profits to physical and spiritual growth of humanity. It’s great to see such a world depicted in the charming and spirited way that Dan has. See what you think and let me know.
