A small section of the exhibit at the Nuart Festival in Norway
I found another insanely gorgeous duo of street artists who go by Herakut. Both are from Germany, who started to work together the day before they met. But their relationship is so close that one person can work on a piece, then walk away so that they other person can finish it off. Wow, talk about relating on every level! As you can see by the image below, their fanciful imaginations take on an almost water color like feeling, though it all comes from a can. And considering that they both herald from the graphic design world, it’s easy to see how they can create so many lush layers of joyous shadows and light that bring each color to life. Especially when they have a stark black background to juxtapose against.
Here’s an interview done by Artasty.com that will get you nice and cozy with the two of them. The go look at some more closeups of their installation at Norway’s Nuart Festival as shown by another favorite stop of mine, My Modern Met.
And another sit down area of the exhibit as envisioned by Herakut
And if you want to take something of theirs home, well, they also have a book out so it’s like your own portable Herakut exhibit that is always open. Wow, I’m just going to go drool now.
