My eyes were transfixed on this emotional image painted by David Flores. Branded Arts asked for a tribute for New York graffiti artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. The moodiness of the colors and with the geometric compilation of his expression makes for a mesmerizing piece. Add to that, a photo taken at a unique angle, and this is two works in one. This is another example of the powerful imagery that street art is capable of portraying, making it more than important in my history book of the arts. – found through My Modern Met
