Capitalism Vs Artistry

It sounds like an interesting meeting of the minds. What would happen if you had a conversation between a school (like the Norwegian School of Economics) and a group of street artists. Two groups of people from completely divergent sections of society commenting on a social mechanism that impacts both worlds equally and yet unequally. From July to August of 2011, these artists painted the white walls of the school with their thoughts about the impact of capitalism on the world. Once the art was completed, they were then invited to talk about those thoughts with the school’s leading economists.

_capitalism? allows for the streets paved with gold to challenge the streets painted in multi-tones, to see if they can understand how the other thinks. To see how the world of color can co-exist with the world of black and white. This project was brought by the collaboration between NHH and the Nuart Festival.
