Politician Under Surveillance

luzinterruptus wants politicians to know how it feels to be under surveillance. Honestly, I couldn’t find a better display that depicts what normal people everywhere are enduring in many countries, democratic or not. We live in an age where surveillance has become the norm, because those who have the power seem to want it that way. Never mind that overreactions lead to horrible actions that take away people’s sense of security, no matter how much those protectors tell us otherwise.

Here’s their interpretation of why this display is necessary: “We took to the streets of Madrid, on the 19th of November, a day of reflection before the general elections, in order to present a simulation of the surveillance of politicians, with the aim of generating debate or simply a thought among the people who strolled through the streets on their way back home.

I know that the conversation on the streets was probably pretty open, but did the politicians get it? Because, frankly, they’re the ones who got us in this mess in the first place!
