Jenine Shereos stitches together strands of human hair on a soluble background, and by knotting intersections together, they take the form of leaves once the backing has dissolved. She loves the meditative process because it allowed her to focus on the minute details of the veined network that mimics the natural patterns found all around us. It’s hard to wrap your mind around the fact that this is one part of nature turning into another through the hands of one very talented and thoughtful woman. Breathtakingly beautiful.
