I just found the cutest video called “Hole of Happiness” which was done by the pothole gardener. It seems like someone wants to place meaning into a pothole, so things have been brightening up in these little holes of paradise around East London. This intrepid creator wants to make a statement out of these devious little traps, including “watch out here’s another pothole” and “see what you can do with a little creativity and whimsy”. Judging from the reactions of the passerbys, the pothole gardener’s mission to bring a little wonder, whimsy, and happiness to a landscape devoid of much greenery is a massive success. It’s so sweet to see people wanting to do something just to brighten up someone’s day. And yet it becomes so much more because it’s a statement that we can all do little things to make massive improvements to the life around us.
