I just saw this on My Modern Met and had to share because it is too hilarious not to. Pinar found these portraits of frustrated superheroes who simply have had enough of their thankless jobs. Of course, what can you expect from people who are always expected to play the dutiful hero while saving people, populations, and even planets with very little help. The fun starts with Roberto Salvador‘s selection of superheroes (which even includes the Japanese’s favorite space pirate, Captain Harlock, who also appears in that classic anime, Galaxy Express 999).
So how would we react if our superheroes one day decided to all throw a “hissy fit” at the same time and just let everything go to pot? If all the capes were put on hangers, and they just decided that today was the perfect day for a break? It resembles how so many of us feel in our lives, so it’s not far-fetched that these heroes would also want to jump off the emotional roller coaster for a day.
