I’m falling more and more in love with Iceland with every picture I find. How does this one make you feel? Me – pure magic! It’s called a Starry Night of Iceland, and it was taken in 2011 by Stephane Vetter who used a series of six exposures to obtain this magical ring of auroral light. The location is Jökulsárlón, a glacial lake in Iceland. We’ve definitely been seeing a lot more aurora activity because the sun is hitting its solar maximum. So, look up at your night sky and see if you’re lucky enough to be in an area that makes these spectacular sights easy to view. And share your pictures with us, because you can never have too many aurora images.
