Here’s a favorite of mine:
Neil deGrasse Tyson is the voice of space. Anyone who has ever been in love with outer space has probably heard Neil talk. And what a talker he is. He inspires. He truly makes us look up at the sky in wonder, because of his own child-like love of the carpet of twinkling lights that envelopes our little planet called Earth. And those planetary bodies that are so different from ours, and yet also kin to us. And those unknown discoveries that drive us to keep seeking knowledge. All topics that make eyes light up with joy, and brains light up with understanding.
That excites me. That makes me want to grab people in the street, “Have you heard this? We are star dust. Not only are we in the universe. The universe is in us.”
How can you not be inspired by this thought? I feel so powerful knowing that I have a link with the universe around us. And we all share this amazing discovery together.
