It’s been a while since I wrote, and now seemed like a good time as any to catch up with you all. As usual, I want to thank you all for visiting, reading, and commenting. I still read your comments, though I still am not sure as to who is really wishing to connect and who just wants connections to win some game. I’m grateful for all who of you who are here, and will continue to write as a way to show my appreciation for your support.

Now that the new year is upon us, what are you wishing for? The world is in the midst of change, and such superficial things as wealth and fame seem too trivial a thing to ask for. Of course, we all need money to live, but there is more to life and we have been finding that out just by watching the world go by us.

After spending the past few days in the quiet mountains surrounded by snow and trees, what’s truly important becomes crystal clear. Re-watching a movie like Avatar doubles up on the realization:

I SEE YOU

Whether it’s a person, place, or thing, can you really see what you’re looking at? Do you realize all of what makes up that vision? Can you feel the connection? Because this is what we all typically miss. The emotions that create a close tie between you and that vision.

Hopefully, 2014 will bring more emotions into our connections. Perhaps these connections will create such powerful emotions that will help to create a strong foundation to build a new life upon. The nutrients that life needs from all of us include love, hope, dreams, and all of those magical things. Bringing magic back into a world that seems to have gone dark from a little too much of 1+1 = 2. Bringing forward a new definition of what is in 1.

1 isn’t a lonely number. 1 can make up a single species full of magical differences that create a single beautiful world. 1 can be a single emotion that evokes all of the hope for all that is bright and new. 1 comes in all shapes and sizes, and is only limited by our imaginations. 1 should never limit. It is limitless.

Here’s to 2014 being a hopeful year that will stretch your imagination to infinity. Nothing can limit you but you. Go forward and SEE. Go forward and FEEL. Go forward and LOVE.

Just go forward…
