Is it just me, or do the good ol’ days seem not so good in reality? Sure, the trappings are attractive, but hardly realistic to sustain under the harsh light of day. No matter what age we live in, we love to surround some part of our past in a golden bubble of pretty imagery. Perhaps to get over the harsh realities that surround us on a daily basis when the light shines on our true lives. Luckily (?), it seems that the creative world is not really buying the stories from our elders who lived during those times. Tranquility, happiness, satisfaction – was any of it real? Perhaps it’s easy to feel like you’re life is in control, when there weren’t too many choices to worry about. But on the flip side, not having the ability to make certain choices seems restrictive when compared to our current expectations.

As I keep saying: creative types are an absolute necessity in order to maintain an observable balance in our surrounding environment. They have the ability to see under pretty wrappings to the gooey center. After all, many of them help to create the wrapping, while others tear the wrapping off to expose a center that might not be to your liking. It pays to give equal attention to both the wrapping and the center in everything in our life. That way, you’ll be able to make any decision based on all of the available, demonstrable facts without being tricked by all of the glitter.
