What We See Through The Lens

Another My Modern Met find led me to this Vimeo project called “mongolia!” by Wiisa. Their tagline is simply, “just a boy and a girl making videos”. And this particular video is extremely refreshing in it’s message. They got the opportunity to travel for 10 days on a motorcycle through the scarcely populated areas of Mongolia, and met many of the nomads during their trip. This is a moment where they met a family and asked if they could take their pictures. What transpired was an opportunity to see the family approach the unknown with open arms and joy.

Stretching our hands out to one another is the first step to getting to know one another. Getting to know one another leads to understanding one another.  No, the process of walking into the unknown isn’t always easy, but the rewards greatly outweigh any risks that you’re obsessing over. There’s a reason why the word “social” is on everyone’s lips. Ultimately, that’s what we all are (even the grumpy among us).

Glad I found you, My Modern Met! All of the amazing creative sites out there that I visit (and the ones I’m still hoping to find) continue to make me love what I do.
