** STOP CENSORSHIP! **
Our censorship fight with the US Congress is far from over, as they continue to attempt to break the Internet with legislations driven by crony capitalism in the US and abroad. Though SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) and PIPA (Protect IP Act) have been pulled back for now, more continue to follow them. Now, we have to contend with ACTA (more) and TPP (2), which are international attempts to censor and control the Internet for the sake of commerce. And if that's not enough, now there's CISPA (more).

Especially now that lobbyists are admitting out loud that they expect to be rewarded for their "contributions": Read it on TorrentFreakThanks for visiting!

The Internet As We Know It
Update: It sounds like we indeed are now in a bad position. According to Cory Doctorow, the FCC commissioners voted 3-2 along party lines to push forward Wheeler’s proposal of an “open Internet” for public comment. As there is already … Continue reading
Shaping Our World In Our Own Way
Our world isn’t looking so good, though our view depends on where we stand in society. The atrocities that people suffer around the world at the hands of one another, or at the hands of Mother Nature, are hard to … Continue reading

Sometimes, There’s TOO MANY ZOOS

When Did History Stop For You?
It should be a question that we ask of ourselves and others: When did history stop for you? At the very least, it would give pause to think whether our actions match our words. At the most, it would cause … Continue reading
Unintended Consequences
We’ve heard about equal and opposite reactions in science. We see the consequences in our lives on a daily basis. But sometimes we don’t SEE that our intentions have unintended consequences. Well, how about this graphic, found on Reddit: … Continue reading

and for some reason my links to the original content disappeared when I posted, so I’ve updated. It’s been a while since I shared something from Reddit. Life has just been so chaotic and not at all concerned with the … Continue reading
Legacies Live On
RIP to a man who lived a life that we all wish to emulate (though few could have endured it as he did). Nelson Mandela was a leader like so few who walk with us in life. His trials and … Continue reading
