Today will end on a good note, simply because we all need it!
Shane Bauer and Josh Fattal are finally free, after a 2-year imprisonment in Iran. Shane Bauer’s fiancee, Sarah Shourd, was released over a year ago, and has been awaiting the news of their release ever since. On September 21, 2011, her dreams were finally answered. Though politics once again got in the way of the timely release that was promised by Iran, it finally happened after years of broken promises. The details of their capture while they hiked along the Iranian border are still being disputed. But at this point, all that matters is that they are going home to resume their lives.
It’s so great to see a good ending for once. With the tough times that we’re all enduring, every story with a happy ending like this has to be shared.
