Loving Anime

My all-time favorite anime, Cowboy Bebop (Sunrise)

Living in Japan throughout my youth, I consider myself seriously lucky to have experienced some amazing art creations like those that can be found in anime (Japanese animation). I grew up with so many of them while living there, and then found even more to watch after I eventually moved back to the United States. Anime (and manga) will always be a staple in my life, simply because their creators have some of the most amazing minds that create so much inspiring beauty! It’s a different style from American animation, but it’s one that I feel a kindred spirit as it connects me to some good memories from childhood. It’s also what helped give me an unquenchable love for art and story-telling. I love anime! What’s your favorites? Here’s a few (very few) of mine:

Howl’s Moving Castle (Studio Ghibli)

Spirited Away (Studio Ghibli)

Lupin III (original manga created by Monkey Punch)

Samurai Champloo (created by Shinichiro Watanabe) – love this take on American baseball

and I could go on for a really long time because there’s just too many to list!!!…
