Heroes Are All Around Us

Ben Turnbull wants to show those everday heroes around us in the light that they deserve. His current art exhibition, Supermen – An Exhibition of Heroes, opened at the Eleven Fine Art Gallery on September 16, 2011 and runs through October 22, 2011. In honor of the 10th anniversary of 9/11, he wanted to show the true heroism of those who serve the public by using comic art of those superheroes we grew up with in a collage that depicts the true superheroes of our day. The red, white, and blue colors chosen signify their patriotism and dedication to the people of the United States that they serve.

As Turnbull says, “Without the need of a phone-booth or a revolving door these true patriots donned their iconic costumes and sacrificed life and limb for what they believed in. With every cut-comic hero and dialogue I hope to bring out the true merits of the Brave and the Bold in their fight for Truth, Justice and the American Way.”
