The Space Shuttle Enterprise (OV-101) is going to its new home at the Intrepid Sea, Air, & Space Museum complex in New York. A model of the museum that will be based in the Hell’s Kitchen shows an open air concept that will allow the visitors to walk alongside the Enterprise as she is pointing towards the sky in perpetual flight. Although she’s now a grounded bird, it’s good to see that they won’t keep her cooped up in a hanger where she can’t see that wild blue yonder that she loves so much. I hope that the other three space shuttles are treated with equal respect to their amazing legacy. – found through a Modern Met post -> Intrepid Museum
