Happy New Year

It’s the start of another new year. The beginning of 2012, which is already a year of legend before it even began. What this year will hold is up to our imaginations. What will we make of it? Are we ready for change? I for one hope so. I’m beyond ready.

For me, this is the official start of a new path. After last year’s periods of limbo followed by a true (and belated) awakening, I feel like this can be the start of something wonderful. No more dealing with things as they are, while I try to effect minute changes from within. My head is full of visions that push my hope into the light. It won’t be an easy one – I don’t think that any of us believes that it will be. Not after what 2011 put us all through.

But even with all of the past obstacles, we’re still standing. Many rose up and found a voice for the very first time. It was our collective moment of rebirth. Not one of antiquated ideologies, beliefs, or faith. It was our rebirth into who we’re capable of being. Nothing is more powerful than our identity. A strong identity is the foundation for everything else to build upon. Last year, we tore down the obstacles to understanding who we really are. Now, we can work on a clean surface so that the colors shine bright and true.

Forget what others tell you. Listen to what you’re telling yourself. The purer your actual self is, the clearer the message will be to hear… and accept. Look around you, because there’s a lot of people that woke up last year. You’re not alone on this new path. Smile at your fellow travelers. They’ll be happy to see you there with them! Let’s journey on together into that bright new unknown. The year will be what we make it. So, dream as large as you can!
