As a lover of words, it’s impossible to do without fonts. They are the building blocks of the world that I live in, and I love them all. Beautiful, plain, illegible… they all play their parts as costumes to the word play that we writers create. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Going through Cuded, I came across a playfully beautiful font called Dream Shepard which was created by Poland-based graphic designer, Ania Szerszen. The first thing that caught my attention was how similar it was to the beautiful illuminated scripts lettering which are in a class by themselves. But if you look closely, you’ll find a sense of humor that somehow blends in perfectly with the natural beauty of the twining vines. The characters Ania embeds into the letters are humorously wide-eyed as though they just realized that they were caught doing something naughty. Check out her work on her blog or Behance. Her lettering is breathtaking.

p.s. I am in love with her Lullaby font!
