Curiosity. We all have it. Apparently, this duck is extremely curious about the photographer, Tilly Meijer, who submitted this shot to Nat Geo. Isn’t this just adorable!
So, today’s thought for the day: What makes you curious, and what do you do about it? I find curiosity to be one of my biggest motivators. As soon as I read or discover something interesting, I just have to know more about that subject. I truly believe that this is one of my most powerful tools in my creative arsenal, and one that I use all of the time. When I write anything, I have to feel like I’ve done the best research possible in the time allotted before I even put down the first word. That first thought is my anchor on which I build everything that follows. I can tell if the anchor is secure by how I feel as I continue to write. When the feeling’s off, then I know that I still have more to find. When that happens, then off I go satisfying that curiosity. Because you know how well it worked for the cat…
