** STOP CENSORSHIP! **
Our censorship fight with the US Congress is far from over, as they continue to attempt to break the Internet with legislations driven by crony capitalism in the US and abroad. Though SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) and PIPA (Protect IP Act) have been pulled back for now, more continue to follow them. Now, we have to contend with ACTA (more) and TPP (2), which are international attempts to censor and control the Internet for the sake of commerce. And if that's not enough, now there's CISPA (more).

Just Because
Today, I’m going to try something new. I’m going to pick whatever triggers my mind and just go with it. And whatever I do, it’s going to be done with no intentions. I know how hard that is since everything … Continue reading
All We See Are Patterns
Robert Krulwich has done it again with an introduction to Kurt Vonnegut’s diagrams for storytelling. The comparative imagery (Abstruse Goose) he uses in conjunction with the video is quite an informative description of perception according to personality or trade. Or … Continue reading
Staring Into the Abyss

Vikings Brought to Life
I have been fascinated by Vikings since I was a kid. It’s more than their image, it’s their strength, courage, and thirst for life. Sure they were marauders, but their mythologies were alive inside my head like no other stories. … Continue reading
“Power Geeks”
Just stumbled on another article that had me laughing while it hit home. Judith Newman, a New York Times contributor, was discussing the latest book of Alexendra Robbins, “The Geeks Shall Inherit The Earth: Popularity, Quirk Theory and Why Outsiders … Continue reading
Ouch, My Brain…
Ok, so I am a major comic fan. Being raised by the military machine in Japan during my youth, I’d spent my life surrounded by them. They made my life more colorful because they let my brain go into that … Continue reading
